The Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, Rev. Fr. Dionisio Q. Selma, OAR visits San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish-Talisay

The Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, Rev. Fr. Dionisio Q. Selma, OAR, issued a mandate last May 11, 2021, that as part of his term of office, he will personally visit the entire province in order to learn about the state of the community, to re-affirm religious life more fully, and to promote charity and unity among individuals (no.464).

The SNDTP community is delighted to commemorate Our Lady of Mt. Carmel’s feast day on July 16th, as the Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, Rev. Fr. Dionisio Q. Selma, OAR presided the Eucharistic celebration together with the OAR Fathers. The Prior Provincial emphasizes on his homily about motherly care experience, as well as what life is like if we return to a life of contemplation and discernment. The Eucharistic feast came to a close with the image incensation.

Afterward, the Secular Augustinian Recollect Fraternity (SARF) led the Morning Prayer, which was joined by the Recollect Augustinian Youth de Talisay and the OAR Fathers. After the Agape breakfast, the SARF and RAY gathered with the Prior Provincial for a dialogue.

Rev. Fr. Dionisio Q. Selma, OAR emphasizes the Augustinian Charism specifically Communitarian charism and he also shared about the current and future plans of the province. Christy Joyce Fortaleza, RAY de Talisay President, presented the current activities, updates on the number of members, and formations, as this renewal visit seeks to learn about the state of the community and the organization.

The world is battling on how to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak, which has had devastating effects on individuals and communities. RAY de Talisay chooses to be bearers of hope in the midst of grief and suffering by expanding their compassion in service. Only in this way will they be able to transform this story of sorrow and misery into one of compassion and camaraderie.
