We have a new Prior General!

ROME, Italy — As the 56th General Chapter of the Order of Augustinian Recollects is coming to a close, the capitulars has finally spoken and elected a new chief. On the eve of March 22, 2022, Fray Miguel Ángel Hernández Domínguez, OAR, the incumbent Prior Provincial of Santo Tomas de Villanueva Province, has been elected as Prior General of the Order of Augustinian Recollects. Fray Miguel Ángel–or Michel as he is fondly called–was born in Madrid, Spain in 1965 and has spent most of his life as a minister of God in Brazil.

Our best wishes and prayers for Fray Michel as he takes the lead in the implementation of the recently crafted Life and Mission of the Order. The Lord bless you and keep you through the intercession of Nuestra Señora de la Salud, St. Joseph, St. Augustine, and all the Saints!
