Son delivers Kapampangan elegy for imá
STA. ANA, PAMPANGA – Sonny Caparas dedicated a beautiful poem in Kapampangan to imá Apolonia, the Matriarch of the Caparas Family, after the Holy Mass celebrated by the youngest of the siblings, Fray Radni L. Caparas, OAR, and held at 9:00 AM in San Pedro Chapel in this town.
Several Augustinian Recollect friars joined Fray Radni and his family in praying for the eternal repose of the soul of their mother, Mrs. Apolonia L. Caparas.
Joining him at the main altar were the prior provincial, Fray Dionisio Q. Selma, OAR, and local prior of his community in Recoletos Formation Center (RFC), Fray Lauro V. Larlar, OAR.
Other friars coming all the way from Baguio, Antipolo, Mira-Nila, Manila, Provincial Curia, and Talisay City, Negros Occidental, concelebrated in the Holy Mass. Â Fr. Ding, the parish priest, was also present to console the family. Â The RFC friars served as choir and altar servers.
The word imá is the Kapampangan for “mother.”
