Father Provincial visits Recoletos de Tambo
AYUNGON, Negros Oriental—The Prior Provincial, Fray Dionisio Selma, paid his first visit to the community of Our Lady of Lourdes Chaplaincy in Brgy. Tambo, Ayungon.
As a sidetrip to his destination in Valencia, Negros Oriental where he presided a Board of Trustees meeting for the two OAR schools, Father Provincial managed to squeeze his hectic schedule just so he could see for himself the status of the brothers and their apostolate in this fast-developing inland community.
Currently, this second Recoletos community is mainly engaged in pastoral works. Fray Allan Jacinto is appointed local prior and team leader of the ministry. He is ably assisted by Fray Alden Alipin and Fray Randolph Castulo Castillo, Jr. A newly-assigned deacon, Fray Mark Saludes, is now a member of the community chiefly for his pastoral practice prior to presbyteral ordination.
Father Selma was accompanied by Fray Edgar Tubio, president of the Secretariat of Ministerial and Mission Apostolate, and Fray Henry Santiago, provincial procurator.
It is recalled that the Recoletos de Tambo community, together with Recoletos de Tagburos in Puerto Princesa City and Recoletos de Project 6 in Quezon City, was established on May 13, 2015.
