Recoletos School of Theology: Mass of the Holy Spirit 2016
Mira-Nila Homes, Quezon City – August 12, 2016, the celebration of the Mass of the Holy Spirit solemnly opened the academic year, 2016-2017, at Recoletos School of Theology.
The Holy Mass was celebrated in the St. Thomas of Villanova community chapel at 8:30 AM. Very Rev. Fr. Dionisio Q. Selma, OAR, prior provincial, was the main celebrant and homilist. He was joined by other OAR priests — Rev. Fray Lauro V. Larlar, OAR, RST rector, Rev. Fray Leander V. Barrot, OAR, vice-rector, Rev. Fray Emilio E. A. Quilatan, OAR, RST Dean, Rev. Fray Jonathan Caballero, OAR, school treasurer, and Rev. Fray Larry Garces, OAR, liturgy professor. Other priests from other congregations whose seminarians are enrolled in RST concelebrated Holy Mass. Rev. Fr. Jose Antonio Aureada, OP, representative of the Ecclesiastical Faculty of UST of which RST is affiliated, was also present.
After the homily all priest professors of the RST faculty made their “Professio Fidei.” As required by the Holy See all professors teaching in seminaries are required to make the “Professio Fidei” (Profession of Faith). This act is a manifestation that all priest professors are to be faithful and obedient to the Church’s universal and local “magisterium.”
