Fray Larlar opens novena to St. Ezekiel at SEMONORE
ANTIPOLO CITY – “Novena is our response to call to holiness…we journey for nine days to see the beauty of being loved by God,” said Fray Lauro V. Larlar, OAR, the former Prior Provincial, who was the main celebrant and homilist in the opening of Novena Mass in honor of St. Ezekiel last August 10, 2017 here at the St. Ezekiel Moreno Novitiate-Recoletos (SEMONORE).
In his sermon he emphasized the “Love of God based on Sacrifice.” Fray Lauro used as an example the sacrifice of mother and father in giving a glimpse of how God loves each one which he express “authentic love.” God never sees as in categories, but of being a beloved, he added.
He hailed St. Ezekiel Moreno as a model to each one in attending to the needs of others of going through sacrifices and being consistent in responding to the love of the Lord.
During the first day of concelebrated novena mass the Secular Augustinian Recollect Fraternity (SARF)-Antipolo Chapter were present together with other daily mass-goers.
