Reflection: What does the Cross of Christ bring us, fear or it is a challenge?-
If we see the Cross of Christ as something to be feared, we become paralyzed in ourselves and we will not grow in love and grace. This is why Peter was rebuked.
The Cross of Christ should be a challenge to be accepted and embraced. Christ is telling us today to change our outlook in life, we have to live as someone is always ready to give one’s self for others, always ready to follow.
This is what St. Paul is exhorting us in our 2nd Reading, to be transformed by the renewal of our minds, to be good, pleasing, and perfect. The Prophet Jeremiah was afraid to follow the Lord’s commands but he is convinced that this should be done.
Will you take the challenge?
