Groups of Japanese nationals visit UNO-R
Five groups of Japanese nationals visit the university for possible partnerships.
A group of Japanese came Ibaraki Prefecture in Japan. The team is composed of Prof. Hiroshi Shoji, President of Ibaraki Christian University; Mr. Toshikatsu Ymanaka, Dean of the Center for International Understanding, Ibaraki Christian University; Dr. Hideya Teranuma, MD, PhD, Chairperson of the Board of Directors Medical Corporation, IBARAKIKAI Ibaraki Clinic and Vice President of SME Collabo Cooperative; and Mr. Norio Kawamata, CEO of Urban Architect Co., LTD. The group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the university last February 19, 2018. Signing for the university is Rev. Fr. William Villaflor,OAR., UNO-R VP-Finance. In the afternoon, the group met with the lay administrators to set the parameters and the drafting of the Memorandum of Agreement.
Another Japanese from the Omoto Education Consulting represented by Mr. Koji Omoto came to meet with the Deans of Engineering, Allied Health Sciences and Business and Accountancy last February 22, 2018. He discussed a possible partnership with the university.
And a group of Japanese students visited the university March 1, 2018. They were brought to the university by the IKAW-AKO, Japan –Philippines partnership for Environmental Protection. They were accompanied by Ms. Ma. Ruth Concepcion, MBA, faculty of the College of Business and Accountancy. The visitors were Yui Yamanouchi, Natsuho Ori, Kyoto Abi, Aoi Yamamoto and Koki Fujii.
Also, another group visited the university last March 7, they are the partners of the College of Business and Accountancy. Their company is responsible for the OJT program of CBA students in Japan. They are Kuomei Kanda , Chairman, Chou Food Company Ltd, Mr. Shota Ito, Manager, Chuo Food Campany Ltd. & Ms.  Mita Martin-Kikuchi, supervisor.
And a group visited the university, March 12. The group is composed of Dr. Hideya Terunuma, MD, PhD of Ibarakiki, Ibaraki clinic; Mr. Hideyo Koyama, Ministry of Health; Ms. Nana Matumoto, Researcher; and Mr. Shunsuke Maeda, Chairperson, Chikushi Minamigaoka Hospital. They will meet with Dean Sheila P. Arnibal, PhD of the College of Allied Health Sciences and Mrs. Dianne Concepcion and discuss the future human resources requirement on Nusring and Caregiving in Japan.
