LET GOD TAKE OVER ‘Ganyan ang pagmamahal ng isang ina’

CAVITE CITY—As the celebration of the feast day of St. Monica approaches, the Sebastinians reflected upon her motherly role that portrays endurance of faith as she asked God for her son, Saint Augustine’s conversion, as the campus community united at the mass celebrated in her honor. In his homily, Campus Minister of the Main Campus, Rev. Fr. Antonio Zabala, Jr., OAR, emphasized her value of perseverance which caused her to stay firm in prayer life for the conversion of her son that was answered after almost 20 years and can be of a good help as it is considered as one of the role model on motherhood. It took 17 years for her prayers to be answered. Ganyan ang pagmamahal ng isang ina,” Fr. Zabala said. The mass was at the Main Campus’ chapel, August 25, and was attended by the Junior and Senior High School students along with the College Department and their Karakol participants, as well as some of the faculty members. Meanwhile, St. Monica’s steady and well-grounded faith in God despite the presence of hardships in life especially regarding to his sinner-turned-saint son has been one of the values that all should replicate for allowing God to take over in disturbances will never give us false hope but, instead, lend us hands in everyday life, a college student said.
