Bacolod City, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL—Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon, SDB, DD led the clergy and faithful in thanksgiving to God for giving St. Nicholas of Tolentino as Patron of the poor souls in purgatory. The Bishop was joined by Local Prior, Rev. Fr. William Villaflor, OAR; UNO-R President, Rev. Fr. Don H. Besana, OAR; Rev. Fr. Cristituto Palomar, OAR; Fr. Amadeo Lucero, OAR; Rev. Fr. Teodulfo Jadulco, OAR; Fr. Jose Alden Alipin, OAR; Fr. Sixto Bitangjol, OAR of USJ-R, Balamban; Fr. Ronald Quijano of Sacred Heart Seminary and Fr. Henry Donasco. The bishop, in his homily, said we are all consecrated to God in baptism and are all called to holiness. Being consecrated means that we belong to God. The Bishop said, “Iya ini sang Ginuo, balaan ini. Ginhimo Niya kita nga Iya. Ginhimo kita nga bala-an kag dapat ang aton kinabuhi bala-an man.” After the Mass was the distribution of the Panecillos, the blessed bread. He ended by telling everyone to “just live filled with LOVE, that our lives will become holy.”
