SARF-Antipolo and CEU team-up for Medical Outreach Mission

Antipolo City, RIZAL—Secular Augustinian Recollect Fraternity- Antipolo Chapter (SARF) along with Medical Courses students and staff of Centro Escolar University- Manila (CEU) hosted a Medical Mission in St. Ezekiel Moreno Novitiate- Recoletos (SeMoNoRe) on the 2nd day of September 2018.

The Medical Outreach Mission held was part of the apostolate of SARF and practicum of the CEU Medical Courses students and staff. The mission opened its doors after the Sunday Eucharistic Celebration at around 9:00am. Around 50 students and staff from CEU, of varying Medical Courses namely Pharmacy, Optometry, Dentistry and Medical Technology, served the Outreach Mission. The Outreach Mission was intended as a charity program for those who are financially incapable for such medical services especially for those who are residing nearby and around SeMoNoRe.

According to Br. Edwin, who is the president of SARF, around 70 patients were catered by Medical Technology course; 50 patients by Pharmacy course; 40 patients by Dentistry course; and 30 patients by the Optometry course. Some patients were catered more than one medical service. In total, more or less 150 patients were served by such kind of medical services.

Along with the SARF-Antipolo and CEU Medical Courses students and staff, the Pre-Novices, Novices, Formators and some Personnel of SeMoNoRe also assisted the Outreach Mission. The Outreach Mission finished its service at around 2:00 pm. (Br. Joseph Neil E. Baygan)
