25 STEP/RITTC Trainees join TESDA TIP 2019

Bacolod City, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL–Twenty- five Food and Beverage Services (FBS) NC II trainees of UNO-R Recoletos Industrial and Technological Training Center (RITTC) under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) of TESDA joined the Training Induction Program (TIP) on May 7, 2019 at the Annex Building, New Government Center, Bacolod City. The objectives of the said activity are mainly to introduce the TWSP pursuant to the Omnibus Guidelines for 2019 TESDA scholarship program; to discuss the brief history of TESDA in Negros Occidental, its mission, vision, and goals; and to emphasize the value of commitment in the course of the training provided by the schools and institutions. Ms. Beverly R. Insular, senior TESDA specialist, led the orientation on the roles of TESDA and its implementing guidelines of TWSP. Fourteen (14) training providers in Bacolod City with their respective scholars, trainers, and administrators participated in the TIP. Further, the program is in partnership with the City Government of Bacolod and the Association of Technical Institution of Negros Occidental (ATINO) led by Dr. Nena P. Samillano, the organization secretary. Mr. Kent Kevin P. Novillas, trainer in FBS NC II, was also present in the TIP. The program ended with the TESDA Hymn presented by Ms. Jenie Y. Notchite, TESDA Support Staff. The master of ceremony was Mr. Elmeer Meeynard D. Calimpos, STEP/RITTC Staff.
