Lone Novice makes simple profession
Antipolo City, RIZAL– That “strength is not always in numbers” seemed to have underpinned the “successful” journey of the only Novice – Neil Rober M. Alilain – who made his simple profession of vows.
Though said to be streamed from a very big number, only he survived to raise and wave the Batch’s flag—the ‘Luminaries’—and eventually made his profession of the evangelical counsels on the 29th of June, the solemn feast day of Saints Peter and Paul.
With the OAR friars who also came to witness this special event was the Prior Provincial, Fr. Dionisio Q. Selma, OAR, who presided the holy mass at 9:30 AM. Father Provincial emphasized in his homily that the Order is still breathing because the grace of God is still working in the very person of Fray Alilain.
After the celebration, everybody was invited to a buffet lunch. The momentous event was graced by the presence of Fray Alilain’s family, SARF Antipolo Chapter, Religious Sisters such as the CB and AR Sisters from different communities, some RAY members and friends.
