CSNT-R wins City-organized Eco-Mascot and Eco-Warrior Competitions

Talisay City, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL–Colegio de San Nicolas de Tolentino-Recoletos made history once again as it bagged the first ever Eco-Friendliest Mascot 2019 and Eco Warrior 2019 awards in the recently concluded “Fiesta Sang Pamatan-on nga Talisaynon” organized by the City of Talisay in cooperation with the Local Youth Development Council. The event which aims to increase Environmental Awareness kicked off with a “Lakad para sa Kalikasan” also known as the Nutriwalk Activity participated by the different schools in Talisay. An opening program and booth exhibit followed at the city public plaza.

Among the Six (6) Eco-Friendly Mascots from the different schools showing their creativity and congeniality in wearing delicate and recycled costumes, CSNT-R’s RECO Mascot emerged as the winner.
Meanwhile in the evening’s “Search for the Eco-Warrior 2019” as the highlight of the event, twelve (12) representatives from different schools and LGBT Community showcased their fierceness in representing their unique warrior costumes. CSNT-R’s “Amaladawon: Baganihan sang Dunang Manggad” represented by Ehla Khey Bermudez, a grade 9 Learner, vested all other contestants and was crowned as the first Eco-Warrior Queen.
