UNO-Rian passes TM Level 1 National Assessment of TESDA
Bacolod City, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL–Mr. Ryzel Mark P. Gasparillo, RMT, DA, passed the Trainers Methodology (TM) Level I National Assessment of Technical Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) held on August 4, 2019, at TESDA Regional Training Center (RTC), Talisay City.
Mr. Gasparillo underwent assessment which involved written, oral questioning, and demonstration on the TM Level I core competencies such as planning training sessions, facilitating learning sessions, supervising work-based learning, conducting competency assessment, maintaining training facilities and utilizing electronic media in facilitating training. Thus, he was qualified to be a Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Trainer, Technical Trainer, Training Facilitator, Coordinator and Competency Assessor in Visual Graphic Design (VGD) NC II.
According to Mr. Gasparillo, his preparation for the assessment was a bit challenging for he needs to manage his time in teaching while finalizing his portfolio on the said qualification.
Currently, he is planning to work out on his National TVET Trainer Certificate (NTTC) Level I so he will be able to teach VGD in the university. Also, he wanted to take photography as additional competency. Hence, with the implementation of the K-12 TEC-VOC tracks Program and TVET programs of UNO-R Recoletos Industrial and Technological Training Center (RITTC), teachers who wish to apply for a teaching slot shall be asked to submit requirements based on the standards provided by TESDA. Furthermore, Mr. Gasparillo is a Part- Time Faculty at the College of Allied Medical Health Sciences (CAMHS) in this university. (by Elmeer Meeynard Calimpos)
