Mira Nila Homes, QUEZON CITY–Recoletos Formation Center and Recoletos School of Theology, in partnership with St. Ezekiel Moreno Novitiate-Recoletos and Secular Augustinian Recollect Fraternity Antipolo Chapter, initiated activities for those people suffering the brunt of typhoons Rolly and Ulysses.

The friars of the abovementioned communities, together with some lay donors, after seeing the impact of typhoons Rolly (Goni) and Ulysses (Vamco) in hard-hit areas, quickly responded to aid the affected communities.

The friars of OAR through ARCORES de Filipinas together with the Augustinian Recollect Sisters (AR), SARF, and the Camillian Sisters (MI) and lay partners mobilized a relief operation for the victims in Tiwi Albay.

Food packs, groceries, and boxes of clothing were also given to the evacuees who stayed in Barangay Tumana Evacuation Center in Marikina City.

In solidarity with those who were greatly affected and devastated by the natural calamities in Cagayan, the Recoletos School of Theology also donated financial assistance in support to the outreach programs of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres-Cagayan.

Earlier, the following social actions were conducted: the giving of 2,500 face shields to the tricycles drivers in Pasong Tamo Area, Quezon City and 1,000 face shields in Tondo, Manila. Food Packs were also given to those who are living by the streets.

Financial aid was also extended to poor elementary pupils in one needy Sitio in the Island of Casian, Palawan.

Behind this Outreach Program of the RST-RFC community are various families and individuals who are generous enough to extend their lending hands to fulfil the corporal acts of mercy in this time of distress and calamities. The friars of RST-RFC are very much grateful for their unwavering support.
