Talisay City, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL–The Colegio San Nicolas de Tolentino-Recoletos (CSNT-R) in Talisay City formerly known as UNO-R Talisay celebrated their 50th Foundation Anniversary coupled with the celebration of the Alumni Homecoming.
A concelebrated Mass was held at the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish presided by Bishop Patricio Buzon, DD.
The celebration coincided with the feast of the conversion of St. Paul. In his homily, Bishop Buzon told the faculty and stakeholders of CSNT-R, “The conversion of St. Paul is an encounter with the Truth. Paul can only come out of his blindness when there is God.”
He also added, “this is what school is all about. The gospel reminds us that to transform the lives of students is to teach them the Truth, this is much more deeper than any sciences you teach. Truth is Gods initiative.”
Furthermore, he said, “Be a true Catholic school. Don’t just bring your students in the excellence of academics. Teach them the truth and the truth is Christ. That’s why you are a Catholic school.”
The Mass was followed by a caravan within the streets of Talisay city.
