QUEZON CITY–The first batch of confraternity members of the newly revived Cofradia de Tránsito de Nuestra Señora in honor of Nuestra Señora de la Salud, were finally enrolled into the confraternity last October 2, 2021 in the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish, Quezon City. The Enrollment Rite was officiated by Fray Rommel Rubia, OAR, while the Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated by Fray Robin Ross Plata, OAR.

The new cofrades made their individual personal consecration and commitment in front of the miraculous and venerated image of Nuestra Señora de la Salud, after which they affixed their signatures in the document which was counter signed by three witnesses. This act made them officially members of the cofradia with the right to enjoy the spiritual privileges granted to this confraternity.

As an external sign of their enrollment, the new cofrades were imposed with a scapular of the confraternity and were provided with the statutes of the confraternity, an image of La Salud, the confraternity medallion and other devotional items.

This batch is composed of 46 individuals who did not just come from other parishes within Metro Manila, but as far as the province of Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal and Pampanga; and took the risk of travelling in the midst of travel restrictions due to the pandemic just to be enrolled in the cofradia. Although these new members differ in many aspects like age, work, experience and status in life; their love for Nuestra Señora de la Salud, and the desire to spread her devotion, bonded them together in this spiritual fraternity.
