Formation Continues…
The Secretariat of Vocation and Initial Formation of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno relaunches its three-day program on the Formation of Formators with another batch of participants on February 23, 2023.
What is the Program all about?
The formation of formators is intrinsically connected to the essential deepening and dynamic formation of the candidates for religious life. This program is designed for the overall growth of formators and in effect the young candidates as the ultimate beneficiaries of the program. – Fr. Kenneth, OAR, President of the Secretariat of Vocation and Initial Formation.
Rev. Fr. Bernard Amparado, OAR, Prior Provincial, formally opened the program with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Kenneth Joseph Onda, OAR, said during his presentation of the program’s rationale, “As formators, kailangan din nating trabahuin ang ating mga sarili bago ang iba.” Two well-known speakers in the field of formation and human processing gave the topics on the Vocation of Formator, and Identity and Self Worth. They were Br. Fermin Paniza, OH, and Fr. Renato De Guzman.
The communities who attended the program included the Casiciaco Recoletos Seminary, St. Ezekiel Moreno Novitiate – Recoletos, Recoletos Formation Center, and Our Lady of Carmel Novitiate – AR. Moreover, other participants which do not belong to initial formation houses for clergy and religious but are also involved in accompanying people joined the program, namely: San Francisco Javier College – AR, Colegio de Santa Rita, and Nuestra Senora de la Salud Friary – Recoletos.
After the sessions, the rest of the day was incorporated with the RFC’s schedule in order for the formators to mingle with the formands.
