Prior General Visits Recoletos de Caidiocan
CAIDIOCAN, Negros Oriental – At four thirty in the afternoon of October 11, 2023, against the lush greenery of the high mountain range, flashes of yellow, gold, and red flags sparkled at the beat of a marching band. The Prior General has arrived!
Such scenery depicts the warm and energetic welcome the community of Recoletos de Caidiocan rendered upon the arrival of the Prior General Fray Miguel Angel D. Hernandez, OAR, the General Secretary Fray Luciano Audisio, OAR, and the Official Translator for Negros Island communities Fray Romeo Ben Potencio, OAR.
Accompanied by the Local Prior Fray Charlito Orobia, OAR together with Fray Roweno
Eugenio Hamo, OAR and Fray Julius James Tinapao, OAR, the delegation moved to the San Pedro Academy – Recoletos open court for the formal welcoming program. Awaiting them there are the SPA-R teachers, staff, students, and parents and the PPC officers of St. Ezekiel Moreno Quasi-Parish, Caidiocan, Valencia.
The entire program comprised of Fray Orobia’s welcome address, intensified by the performances of SPA-R’s marching band and Indak dance company, and highlighted by Fray Miguel Angel’s message of gratitude with a special remark, “…the Recollect presence in your midst is not just meant for the academic benefit of each individual. Rather, it also aims at the promotion of the common welfare and the greater good of your community.” The program concluded with the community dancing and then the singing of the SPA-R hymn.
Welcome, Father General! Recoletos de Caidiocan is so blessed to have you.
