The 14th Recollect Augustinian Youth National Summit (RAYNS) continued with a day of spiritual enrichment through different spiritual exercises.

The RAYsters started the second day, January 26, 2024, with a morning prayer held at St. Augustine Shrine in Casiciaco Recoletos Seminary (CaReS), Baguio City.

It was followed by meditation, then breakfast.

The morning session started with an animation led by RAY de Talisay, followed by a roll call of each community.

Fr. Ralph Laureen Ciceron, OAR gave the first talk entitled, “What do You Want?”

He said that “This question is indeed hard to answer because our concept of happiness is based on earthly desires and passing goods.”

“But by becoming mature Christians, we grow in discernment and wisdom that would lead us to genuine happiness,” he added.

The second talk with the topic, “Come and See,” was given by Fr. Robin Ross Plata, OAR.

In his talk, Fr. Plata invited the participants to respond to God’s call to come and see what God has given them and to use it to go and live out their mission.

Midday prayer concluded the morning session.

The afternoon session began with an animation led by RAY de Recoletos Formation Center (RFC) and followed by the talk of Fr. Gideon Lagrimas, OAR entitled, “Walk with Jesus.”

Fr. Lagrimas reminded the delegates of the value of time and the reality of hell.

After the talk, a time for reflection and group sharing was allotted for the participants.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Dexter Palagiosa, OAR, head of the Section on Youth Ministry of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, presided the Eucharistic Celebration for the second day of the summit.
