The brothers of Kamabai Community and Kamalo Community were honored to welcome Fr. Anthony Morillo, OAR, and Rev. Jhyryx Vincent Gamulo, OAR, on June 14. Their arrival marked the beginning of a spiritually enriching visit, filled with moments of reflection, celebration, and communal bonding. On June 15, Fr. Anthony traveled to Kamalo to visit the brothers. His visit was an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of fraternity and to share in the joys and challenges faced by the Kamalo community. Fr. Anthony’s presence was a source of inspiration and encouragement for the brothers, fostering a sense of unity and purpose.

The next day, Fr. Anthony joined Fr. Kenneth in celebrating Holy Mass at two outstations chapels: Our Lady of Sierra Leone Chapel in Laminaya and Sts. Alypius and Posydius Chapel in Mahindi. This celebration was a testament to the unity and faith of our community, enriched by Fr. Anthony’s presence and spiritual guidance.

On the morning of June 17, Fr. Anthony made a courtesy visit to Fr. Dominic Johnson, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Makeni. This visit highlighted the close relationships and mutual respect between the Order of Augustinian Recollects, particularly, the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno. and the Diocese of Makeni headed by Most Reverend Bishop Bob John H Koroma. It was a moment of shared vision and collaboration, emphasizing our collective commitment to the mission of the Church. Fr. Anthony’s visit concluded with a meaningful talk and dialogue with the brothers of both communities, held in Kamabai. He shared insights from his vast pastoral experience, encouraging the brothers to remain steadfast in their vocation and mission. The dialogue fostered a deeper sense of community and mutual support among the brothers.

Early in the morning on June 19, Fr. Anthony departed for Lungi airport, leaving behind a legacy of spiritual enrichment and fraternal connection. His visit was a blessing, and we remain grateful for the time he spent with us.
