Formation of Formators

Mira Nila Homes, Quezon City—Seminary Formators from the different formation houses of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno gather for the Annual Meeting of Formators 2024 from November 15–16 at Recoletos Formation Center with the theme, “Redi ad Cor et inde ad Deum: Augustinian Recollect Formative Itinerary.”

The two-day annual meeting of formators commenced with the message via pre-recorded video of Very Rev. Fr. Miguel Angel Hernandez, OAR, Prior General of the Order of Augustinian Recollects. Furthermore, Fr. Kenneth Joseph Onda, OAR, Vicar of the Province and head of The Secretariat of Vocation and Initial Formation, introduced the overview of the New Plan of Formation entitled “Redi ad Cor.” Fr. Onda also presented the background and the development of the document in response to the call of the Church’s renewal of formation for seminarians.

The formators-in-charge of the different stages of formation presented the strategy implementation of “Redi ad Cor.” Fr. Bob C. Cabanag, OAR, presented the implementation for the aspirant and postulancy stages in Casiciaco Recoletos Seminary. Fr. Arian Josef Ocheda, OAR, for the Pre-Novitiate Stage, Fr. Rommel Rubia, OAR, for the Novitiate stage in St. Ezekiel Moreno Novitiate—Recoletos, and Fr. James Castelo, OAR, for the Professed Stage in Recoletos Formation Center.

The first stage concluded with the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Fr. Kenneth Jospeh Onda, OAR, at St. Thomas of Villanova Chapel.
