In 1997, Pope St. John Paul II instituted the annual Feast of the Presentation of the Lord as the World Day for Men and Women in Consecrated Life. This global celebration is now in its 28th year.

Members of religious congregation in the Diocese of San Carlos joined the 9 AM Eucharistic celebration at the cathedral of San Carlos Borromeo where Most Rev. Bishop Gerardo A. Alminaza, D.D. presided.

Religious Sisters and priests accompanied His Excellency during the entrance procession.

Rev. Fr. Christopher Maspara, OAR, and Rev. Fr. Joel Dequilla, OAR, concelebrated at the altar with Bishop Alminaza.

Following the Holy Mass, the Religious proceeded to Sto. Tomas de Villanueva-Recoletos Refectory for a short meeting and a communal meal. Fr. Dequilla, OAR, the president of the Association for Religious Men and Women in the Diocese of San Carlos held a brief meeting on some important concerns facing the Church and the upcoming activities within the Diocese.

The day concluded with a delightful lunch filled with camaraderie, laughter, and shared stories. It was a day of celebration and thanksgiving to God for the gift of vocation and the mission within the Diocese of San Carlos.
