Gospel Bullet Points (John 13:31-33a, 34-35)
I GIVE YOU A NEW COMMANDMENT: LOVE ONE ANOTHER
- There would probably be people with whom you have trouble getting along. We cannot like everyone all the time. And some people are really hard to like. But remember that Jesus never demanded that we should like and have a warm affection for everyone. He did not like Pharisees, nor have warm emotions for the Scribes. But still, He loved them.
- We may not be able to like everyone, but we are commanded to love them. Even if we do not like some people, we can still love them. To teach us to really love, He puts around us some unlovely people—people whom we don’t like. But still, we have to love them!
