Saint Augustine Parish Hippo – Ledo Celebrates 3rd Parish Fiesta with Joy and Unity

On August 31, 2025, Saint Augustine Parish Hippo – Ledo, the lone Augustinian Recollect community in Indonesia, joyfully celebrated its 3rd Parish Fiesta with great success. In the days leading up to the celebration, various games and activities were organized, where parishioners of all ages participated with enthusiasm. These joyful events became a wonderful preparation for the fiesta, strengthening the spirit of brotherhood and unity among the faithful.
The highlight of the celebration was the Holy Mass. Although the Eucharist was originally planned to be presided over by Archbishop Agustinus Agus, unforeseen circumstances prevented his presence. In his stead, Father Stefanus Suwandi, a son of the parish now serving in another diocese, graciously presided over the Mass. The homily was delivered by Father Donatus, a local priest from the area, whose heartfelt message encouraged and inspired the faithful. The Mass was well attended by parishioners from all corners of the parish, as well as visitors from neighboring communities who shared in the joy of the celebration.

Following the Eucharist, the community gathered for a communal meal and simple festivity. Sharing food and fellowship deepened the bonds of friendship and unity, making the fiesta not only a spiritual celebration but also a genuine encounter of hearts. The 3rd Parish Fiesta of Saint Augustine Parish Hippo – Ledo stands as a testimony of faith, unity, and joy, reminding everyone of the enduring spirit of the community.
