Fray Ronel Gealon Installed as Local Prior of Recoletos de Provincialate

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – In a ceremony filled with spiritual significance, Fray Ronel Gealon, OAR, was officially installed as the new Local Prior of the Recoletos de Provincialate community on the afternoon of July 2, 2025.
The “Toma de Posesión” took place following the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament during the Holy Hour with the theme “Pilgrims of Hope: Hope and Faithfulness of God,” setting a reflective and forward-looking tone for the transition.
Fray Bernard Amparado, OAR, Prior Provincial, presided over the solemn Rite of Installation. The installation rites, held at the community’s chapel, were attended by members of the Recoletos de Provincialate, emphasizing the communal nature of the leadership transition. Notably present were also brothers who are currently preparing for their mission abroad.
Fray Gealon’s assumption of the role marks a new chapter for the community, which looks forward to his guidance and spiritual leadership.
The theme of the preceding Holy Hour, “Pilgrims of Hope: Hope and Faithfulness of God,” resonated deeply with the occasion. It underscored the community’s reliance on divine providence and its commitment to journeying forward with unwavering faith, a message particularly pertinent as Fray Gealon takes on his new responsibilities.
As Local Prior, Fray Gealon is entrusted with the spiritual and administrative oversight of the Recoletos de Provincialate community. His installation is a moment of renewed commitment for the friars, who pledge their support to their new prior in their shared mission.
As the Rite of Installation concluded, the brothers entrusted the community to the maternal protection of Mary, Nuestra Señora de La Salud, as they reverently sang a Marian Hymn. This act of devotion beautifully capped the ceremony, symbolizing their communal reliance on divine guidance and the Blessed Mother’s intercession for their renewed journey.
