Prayers for the Missionaries and for the Augustinian Recollect Mission

Dear Brothers,

We begin the missionary month, and since we will celebrate the “Augustinian Recollect Missionary Year” in 2026 with the theme: “Proclaim Christ wherever you can!”, the Mission Secretariat would like to invite you to pray, especially for our missionary brothers and for all the mission areas that the Church has entrusted to our Order during October, the month of missions.

To this end, we share with you some prayers that you can use in the Liturgy of the Hours and in other celebrations you deem appropriate. From now on, we also ask you to pray for the preparation and fruits of the Missionary Year and the Synod of the Missionaries of the Order.

May the Lord bless you and strengthen you in your mission.

PRAYERS FOR THE MISSIONARIES AND FOR THE AUGUSTINIAN RECOLLECT MISSIONS

1. Lord, we thank You for the Augustinian Recollect Missionaries, who have left
   their homeland to bring the good news of the Gospel to new lands.
   – Bless them and give them the strength and encouragement they need to continue being everywhere a light and hope of salvation.
   
2. Heavenly Father, raise up new missionary vocations in the Augustinian Recollect family.
   – May many young people respond generously to Your call and be ready to proclaim the Gospel and build Your Kingdom amidst the challenges of today’s world.
   
3. Lord Jesus, bless the evangelizing work of the Augustinian Recollect
   Missionaries
   – and help them to joyfully and respectfully proclaim the good news of the Gospel to those who do not yet know You or have recently welcomed You.
   
4. Holy Spirit, strengthen the unity of our community
   – so that, in communion with the Universal Church, it perseveres in its missionary commitment.
   
5. Merciful Father, may the missions of the Augustinian Recollects
   – reach those in greatest need, promote justice, peace, and the dignity of the person, and be a living testimony of Your transforming love.
   
6. Lord, grant the Augustinian Recollect Missionaries the joy of the Gospel and the
   awareness that You walk with them.
   – May their testimony inspire those they serve and lead them to encounter You personally.
   
7. Mother Mary, guide the Augustinian Recollect Missionaries with Your wisdom
   and tenderness.
   – Accompany them always and transform them into courageous disciples of Your Son and carriers of Your message of salvation to all people
