Alumni from two OAR Universities pass 2018 Bar Exam

The Supreme Court of the Philippines, after the special en banc session held yesterday, May 3, 2019, announced the result of the November 2018 Bar Examination. Out of 8,158 aspiring lawyers who took the exam, only 1,800 examinees, or 22.07% of the total number of examinees, were able to pass, as confirmed by the 2018 Bar Chair SC Associate Justice Mariano C. Del Castillo.

In the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, there are four educational institutions with existing Law Schools. These are University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental; University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City; San Sebastian College-Recoletos in Manila; and San Sebastian School of Law in Surigao City.

Among the 2018 Bar Exam passers, some of the alumni from two Recollect-run Universities with Law Schools in the Philippines got a spot in the list of bar passers.

San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Manila and San Sebastian School of Law in Surigao City are yet to confirm the official list of bar passers from their respective Schools of Law.

The successful Bar Examination passers will take their Oath on June 13, 2019 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City, and the signing of the Roll of Attorneys will begin the following day, June 14.
