𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬

All roads led to Cebu as the 15th Recollect Augustinian Youth National Summit (RAYNS) officially opened at the University of San Jose–Recoletos Basak Campus, gathering 27 Recollect Augustinian Youth communities from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The first day marked the convergence of young Recollect Augustinians united by this year’s theme, “Proclaim Christ Wherever You Can,” a call that challenges every Rayster to move beyond proclamation and toward authentic witness, living the faith in everyday life.

Delegates were warmly welcomed upon arrival shich echoed Cebu’s well-known hospitality.

The opening Eucharistic Celebration set a solemn and reflective tone, as Recollect Augustinian Fathers and delegates came together in prayer to ground the summit in faith and shared purpose.

In the evening, delegates were seated alongside members of other communities during dinner, encouraging dialogue, connection, and the spirit of communion.

Night Prayer followed, leading into the Welcome Remarks of Rev. Fr. Dexter R. Tanquis, OAR, who formally opened the summit and reminded participants of the deeper mission they carry as Recollect Augustinian youth.

The day concluded with Socials Night, where laughter, music, and fellowship filled the campus which offered a space where friendships began and community was strengthened.

As Day One came to a close, one truth stood clear and it is the fact that RAY is not simply an organization or an annual gathering, it is a way of life and a process of formation which helps in shaping young people to live with faith, community, and service at the core.

In Cebu, the journey did not just begin, it continued, forming Raysters ready to carry Christ wherever the road leads next.
