QUEZON CITY—Vatican’s Dicastery for Culture and Education granted Recoletos School of Theology (RST) canonical recognition as an Ecclesiastical Institution of Higher Studies and confirmed the renewal of its affiliation with the Royal and Pontifical University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila for another five years. UNO-R celebrates St. Ezekiel and St. Augustine
The community of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos celebrated the feast f St. Ezekiel Moreno last August 19. The day opened with a walk for healing from the Provincial Capitol Lagoon to the university gym. The walk for healing was started as a tradition by Rev. Fr. Antonio Limchaypo, OAR in 2007.

CHED names UNO-R Autonomous University
The Commission on High Education (CHED), through CMO 20 s. 2016, has named 53 Higher Education Institutions as Autonomous for three years (2016-2019). Among the HEI’s granted Autonomous status is University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos , Bacolod, and University of San Jose – Recoletos, Cebu.
